VCAL Coordination

June 20, 2019

Lyn Maniz, 2014 VCAA VCAL Teacher of the Year, St Patrick’s College Ballarat

“Brilliant, great info very responsive to our questions.”
“So many questions and concerns were covered!!”
“Very helpful, most professional and very wise.”
“Excellent, great methodology of leadership imparted, quality advice for the role.”

VCAL Coordination can be a bit like a cross between cat herding and Q&A; from the ridiculous to the serious in fifteen seconds or less. This Masterclass will give you insights and strategies for success. We start with the compliance and the paperwork. (there’s always paperwork), then look at ways to make VCAL Coordination joyful, answer any questions you would like to bring with you, discuss negotiated curriculum and what that might look like in your setting, workshop a few scenarios and finish with strategies for Celebration. We look at how to structure your team meetings to meet the needs of your staff, and how to respond to issues as they arise, to prevent them from becoming ongoing sources of stress. We’ll delve into Community links and OH&S. You’ll leave with a number of resources which will make your life easier.

The intention, by the close of the Masterclass, is to have all participants feeling calm and confident about their role.

* 6.5 hours of PL towards Australian Professional Standards for Teachers; All 7 standards
