Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation
The Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation have recently updated and developed new VCAL resources.
There are six VCAL resources in total:
• PDS – Know the Score and Knowing when it’s a concern
• Literacy – Know the Game and Potential Influences
• Numeracy – What are the odds? and Budgeting, loses and probability
High Resolves offers Federally funded professionally delivered incursions, Videos for Change – a hands-on project-based program for students, and professional development and curriculum consultation utilising Composer, a free library of resources. The Big Issue
Students learn about homelessness and disadvantage, hearing someone’s lived experience of homelessness. Workshops are interactive and held face-to-face, or online via our eClassroom.

Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation
The Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program for Secondary Years offers educators a comprehensive package of professional development, educational resources and support, including the new resource ‘VCAL and the Kitchen Garden Program for Secondary Years’, designed to support and provide guidance when integrating the Kitchen Garden Program within a VCAL program.
LITERACY & NUMERACY RESOURCES
• are designed for youth
• include practical and hands on activities
• use an applied learning approach
• are mapped to VCAL (where appropriate)
• use approaches that have been shown to work successfully with a wide range of students.

We run a VCAL Literacy program that studies my book Crashing Into Potential: Living with my injured brain. The program’s designed to build resilience in VCAL students and teach them a vital life skill of reading.
There are 7 elements to the program including presentations, podcasts books and resources.
Magenta Safety Training
Delivering the Certificate II in Public Safety (Firefighting Operations). A cost neutral program that meets the industry skills component and provides two credits towards the VCAL Certificate.

VEC’s Passport to Democracy
The Victorian Electoral Commission’s Passport to Democracy program (PTD) encourages and empowers primary, secondary, and VCAL students to find their voice. Online Victorian Curriculum aligned civics and citizenship resources assist teachers and students alike to be active citizens and gain more knowledge about our democracy and its processes.
