You don't know what you don't knowVCE VM AND VPC CURRICULUM POSTER![]() How do you integrate when you are teaching in your own silo, with little or no time to collaborate and plan with other teachers in the VCE VM or VPC space and you have little or no idea what's in the curriculum of other VCE VM and VPC study designs? We have compiled a 1 page cheat sheet to get you started. (When we say 1 page, we mean 1 big poster!) These files can be downloaded, taken to the shop with the red push pin all teachers love and for about $8 you walk out with an A0 size poster (drafting paper).Stick it on a wall, near the coffee machine, staff room, AL office or anywhere you and your team hang out. So next time you have a project idea, you can check to see if there are any outcomes in other subjects that can be met. This resource was compiled by the Vocational and Applied Learning Association (VALA) based on Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) Curriculum documents accessed on the VCAA website in August 2025 and is intended as a 1-page curriculum overview only. Educators need to ensure they use current curriculum and assessment practises as outlined in the VCE VM & VPC study designs and respective Administrative Handbook. Pathways to University 2025 Resource This resource has been created for schools, teachers, career practitioners and most importantly students studying the Victorian Certificate of Education Vocational Major (VCE VM) who may want to pathway into university. Included in this resource are all universities in Victoria and their pathways into university where no ATAR is required, with the exception of The University of Melbourne (who do not have a pathway). Additionally, there are a number of interstate universities included as they either have locations within Victoria or are universities close to the border of Victoria.
This resource is a whole new addition from the 2023 booklet, as it was clear that universities have realised the potential for students coming from the VCE VM and no longer view the ATAR as the only way to enter into university. There are now literally hundreds of pathways into university around Australia for those who do not have an ATAR. This is an exciting result for our students! WORKING COMMUNITY PROGRAM

The following resource for schools, teachers and students in the Victorian Certificate of Education Vocational Major (VCE VM) and Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC) has been created to help guide garden projects and best practice evidenced in schools in Victoria. Garden projects are often implemented in schools, both in the previous Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) and in the current VCE VM and VPC. Garden projects (alongside the coffee cart) are popular as they provide multiple avenues to link to the four strands; 1) Personal Development Skills (PDS), 2) Literacy, 3) Numeracy and 4) Work Related Skills (WRS). However, if not implemented and sustained these projects can be seen as a “keep busy” activity for disengaged students, and the potential for a transformational community project is a missed opportunity. This resource is aimed at providing information on the potential for gardens in the senior secondary context, including information on grants, prizes, awards, local industries, step-by-step guides, case studies, youth orientated environmental organisations and more.
