7. Videos for Change 2021

‘COVID proof’ project-based learning

Face to face, remote learning and everything in between! Videos for Change has pivoted (2020 word of the year) into an online, student facing, hands on project.

Students are tasked to create a one-minute video on an issue they feel passionate about. Utilising the teacher and student friendly online platform, students are able to work at their own pace to plan, organise, carry out and reflect on their Videos for Change project.

Here is a short (4 minute) video showing the platform, the theme will change for this year, however the empowerment of young people will not.

Student testimonial

“As a young person, it can feel difficult to make a change; when so few people listen to us, it makes us feel powerless. An opportunity like Videos for Change allows us to raise our voices and make a real difference to the world that we are going to one day be the caretakers of.”

The Videos for Change platform is $500 for up to 60 students. There is significant federal funding available for 2021, please contact Rebecca Absalom (ba@highresolves.org.au) to find out if you are eligible.
