Safari by the River - Specialist Schools focusing on the VPC

Join us in the historic town of Echuca for a memorable Safari by the River! This unique overnight professional learning event offers an insight in the planning and delivery of Vocational and Applied Learning in Special Schools .

The Safari will start with a Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony by local elder Uncle Rick Ronan at Echuca Twin Rivers Specialist School

During the day Twin Rivers, Kalianna and Swan Hill Special School will share insights into their programs and projects followed by a tour of Echuca Twin Rivers Specialist School facilities highlighting some of their outstanding projects.

In the evening we are joined by Twin River staff for a pub dinner, an evening river cruise aboard a paddle steamer, Port after Dark Ghost Tour, and fireside chats, giving you plenty opportunity to build your network and exchange ideas.

On Friday we will work together on the new VPC followed by an off-site visit to one of Twin Rivers innovative projects.

This Safari will leave you with plenty of new ideas, answers (perhaps not all) and contacts with other supportive and passionate educators preparing for the VPC in 2023

Limited places available, book now!

(Registration fee includes morning tea and lunch on both days, dinner on Thursday evening, River cruise & Ghost Tour.)

Please note: participants are responsible for their own travel to and from Echuca as well as overnight accommodation (transfer to and from Echuca train station can be arranged).
