Safari in the Goldfields - Focusing on the VPC

Join us in the historic towns of Bendigo and Ballarat for a memorable Safari in the Goldfields This unique overnight professional learning event offers an insight in the planning and delivery of Vocational and Applied Learning practices in the Victorian Pathway Certificate.

We will kick off on Thursday morning at Bendigo Senior Secondary College, followed by Kalianna Special School in the afternoon. They will share insights into their programs and projects including a tour of Bendigo SSC and Kalianna's facilities highlighting some of their outstanding projects and approaches

On Friday we will travel by bus to Ballarat to visit Ballarat Special School to learn from their innovative staff enabling students to undertake a wide variety of VET qualifications. We will experience their on-site enterprises such as the cafe, opp-shop and farm practises finishing off with a visit to the schools mini Coles before we return to Bendigo to pick up our cars/catch the train to travel home.

This Safari will leave you with plenty of new ideas, answers (perhaps not all) and contacts with other supportive and passionate educators preparing for the VPC in 2024 and beyond
