About your presenter:

Jo Brett is an accomplished education specialist with more than 20 years’ experience working in the Vocational Education and Training sector.

Her experience spans TAFEs, universities, schools, private RTOs and government sectors. Jo has a proven track record of building strong, mutually beneficial relationships by understanding stakeholders’ needs and using this knowledge to foster collaboration.

Enthusiastic and positive, Jo is passionate about improving access and provision to quality Vocational Education and Training Delivered to School Students (VDSS) programs.

Prior to joining NETRACKSLLEN Jo worked at:

•Deakin University as a VET Specialist providing specialised information, detailed reports and professional learning related to school-level and cluster-based VDSS projects

•VCAA as a Program Manager in the VET Unit providing advice to stakeholders and managing programs relating to the implementation of VDSS

•Melbourne Polytechnic as a Project Manager and Course Writer

•School based RTO developing rectification plans and implementing best practices to ensure RTO compliance, supporting successful audit outcomes, and maintaining regulatory adherence.

•GOTAFE – managing the flexible delivery of Diploma and VDSS training and assessment for a large cohort of students across Victoria. Creating engaging, immersive online training materials that reflected real-world applications.

 

Jo’s broad experience in VDSS and expertise providing Professional Learning gives valuable perspective on the challenges that VDSS stakeholders face.

Coupled with commitment to ensuring students reach their full potential makes her a strong advocate for empowering learners and educators.
